| IGNOU is the world’s largest university with 59 Regional Centres, 5 sub-regional centers and about 1468 study centers all over the country. Besides these, the university has 38 overseas centers. In a major breakthrough PRIA and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) signed a MoU under which PRIA/IGNOU will be offering “ MA in Participatory Development” through Open and Distance modes of learning. The Masters programme will focus on preparation of young professionals in developing a theoretical framework as well as delivering skills to handle practical challenges of field based participatory development projects. It is envisaged that these young professionals will contribute to the effective management of development programme. A Certificate in Participatory Development will also be offered for frontline workers, field workers, animators engaged in development project and programmes of NGOs and the Government. |
